This week’s SOUNDLIB will feature the Bronx’s double L, a founding member of G13 Sound International who made a name for himself over the past decade spinning hip-hop, reggae and dancehall at parties and clubs as part of Philly’s reputed DJ scene.
A classically trained musician with a love for music across genres, double L‘s range extends well beyond the usual party fare. Lately, he’s been showcasing his diverse tastes and mixes through two music blogs: Nite Cap Selections, focusing on downtempo and soul; and, In Your Blood Clot Face, dedicated to reggae, dancehall and soca.
We’re excited to have him demonstrate some of that musical versatility in person on the decks at SOUNDLIB this week.
DJ LIL TIGER will also be in the place with his trademark selections of soul (new and old), funk, Hip-Hop, afrobeat, reggae and much more.
As always, the party is FREE all night. We start and end EARLY (9pm-1am), so we won’t keep you out too late. Hope to see you there. …

DJ FNDOMNTL will be joining us this week at SOUNDLIB as part of his whirlwind NY tour. The New Orleans-native Austin party rocker and seasoned battle DJ is actually making his second appearance with us. He came through a while back and did a great unannounced set which guaranteed he’d be making a return the next time he came to NY.
A Hip Hop/Scratch DJ first and foremost, FNDO also has deep crates from a wide range of genres including Funk, Soul, Hip Hop (of all sorts and eras), Dirty South/Bounce Rap, Miami Bass, Baltimore Club, Juke, House, Glitch, Dubstep, Drum & Bass, Indie/Classic Rock, and the latest Top 40. FNDOMNTL‘s musical selection is superb, and his technical skills are absolutely not to be fucked with. Dude is a phenomenal DJ (and an all-around awesome dude), and we’re elated to have him back.
DJ LIL TIGER will also be in the place with his trademark selections of soul (new and old), funk, Hip-Hop, afrobeat, reggae and much more.

This week’s SOUNDLIB features the much anticipated return of THE DOUBLE-J, founder of Foundation Media and Trilogy Records.
Back in February dude came through with a couple of sets featuring a lot of dope new and classic Hip-Hop alongside some gems from other genres. We’re glad we could pull him away from his usual Wednesday night hoop sessions to come rock with us again.
Of course, I’ll also be in the spot doing the damn thing with my usual blend of soul (new and old), funk, Hip-Hop, afrobeat, reggae and much more.

Okay, so this has been a long time coming:
This week at SOUNDLIB we’re honored to feature special guest PROBE DMS from the production crew SPYMUSIC and from ELEVATIONS RADIO, the trailblazing broken beat radio show that we featured here back in October. The Brooklyn-born Harlemite has made a name for himself as a producer, DJ, engineer and MC and his music has gotten spins from such legends as DJ Spinna, Benji B (1xtra), Bugz in the Attic, and Dego MacFarlane (4 Hero), who loved PROBE‘s music so much, he picked up SPYMUSIC‘s cult-classic “Cloak” single for his renowned 2000Black label.
Not only is PROBE gifted on the decks (and the mic), but his depth of musical knowledge and skill is mind-blowing. His music and his sets are inspired by Hip-Hop, R&B, Broken Beat, rare groove, classics and all points in between, and his sets are always inspiring and forward-thinking. It’s a real treat to have him come bless us at SoundLib.
Read up much more about PROBE and check out ELEVATIONS RADIO here:
www.elevationsradio.com
I’ll also be on hand serving up soul (new and old), funk, Hip-Hop, afrobeat, reggae and much more. As always, the party is FREE all night. We start early and end EARLY (9pm-1am), so we won’t keep you out too late on a weeknight. Hope to see you there. …
