I had been pretty cynical about Q-Tip’s post Tribe efforts for a while, until I saw him perform some of his new material at Rock the Bells in Maryland this past summer. He did some solo joints before joining up with the rest of ATCQ and blowing away the crowd to close down the show.
So fuck it, I’m back on the bandwagon. “Gettin’ Up” has been on heavy rotation for me for a while, and now his new tune “Move” is spreading like an L.A. County wildfire. This new shit is that crack, for real. Dilla (RIP) on the beat, of course:

Here’s a highlight reel of the pilot in case you missed it:
If you dig that kinda thing, you can catch the full pilot here. And if you REALLY dig that kinda thing, you can check out an interview with the show’s creators on Cold Hard Flash.
You might catch an ad before the video plays. The interview is short and to the point, Face decides that he’s done as a solo artist.

Peedi Crakk (I think it’s Latin for children’s crack) get in touch with his feminine side on yet another Jay-Z diss song. I’m not sure how this is a diss to Jay, since it shows more of Peedi looking more like a lovelorn stalker than a dude trying to beef with a former employer. Don’t get me wrong, I like Peedi, I’ll go so far as to say he’s my favorite rapper from Philly since days of the The Hilltop Hustlers and The Tuff Crew. But really Peedi, you’ll never have her again. Let it go bruh.
